Repair If…
Your warranty is active. Repairs might be covered!
Equipment age is less than life expectancy.
- AC: 12 - 15 years
- Furnace: 15 - 20 years
Few repairs in the last 3 years. If you've only had 1 or 2 repairs you may still have value left. Consult your PHE HVAC Specialist to discuss your options.
Performance meets your expectations. Consider long-term value. Do you plan to stay in your home to reap the benefits from the financial investment?
You plan to live in your home less than 7 years. Maintain the system with an annual clean and check by a trained PHE HVAC Service Technician. Make needed, minor repairs as these are more cost-effective than total replacement. Keep in mind that if you list your home for sale, the buyer may ask for a reduction in price if your equipment has not been maintained properly and is in poor shape.
